How to manage categories, types and tags?

We’ve improved the features in Stack to make managing your categories, types, and tags easier and more efficient. Here’s how you can organize and streamline your template management.

Categories

• Create, Edit, and Delete Categories: Organize your templates by creating, editing, or deleting categories. Remember, if you’re planning to delete a category, move any templates to another category first to avoid losing them.

Types and Tags

• Manage Types and Tags: Easily edit and delete types and tags from a single screen, without the hassle of searching through templates.

How to Use These Features

Accessing the Template Library

1. Navigate to the Template Library Admin Screen: This is your starting point for managing categories, types, and tags.

Managing Categories

• Create a Category:

  1. Click on Settings.
  2. Select Create Categories.
  3. Enter the necessary details and specify the type as Category.

• Edit a Category:

  1. Choose the category you wish to edit.
  2. Click the Edit button to update the name or description.

• Delete a Category:

  1. Select the category you want to delete.
  2. Click the Delete button. Confirm the deletion when prompted.
  3. Move any templates you wish to keep to another category before confirming.

Managing Types

• Create a Type:

  1. Navigate to the Types section.
  2. Click on Create Categories and Types.
  3. Update the details, specifying the type as Type.

• Edit a Type:

  1. Click the Edit button next to the type you wish to change.
  2. Update the name or description as needed.

• Delete a Type:

  1. Select the type you want to remove.
  2. Click the Delete button and confirm the action.

Managing Tags

• Edit a Tag:

  1. Navigate to the Tags section.
  2. Click the Edit button next to the tag you want to change.
  3. Update the tag name as desired.

• Delete a Tag:

  1. Select the tag you wish to delete.
  2. Click the Delete button and confirm the deletion.

FAQs

1. Will my templates get deleted if I delete categories?
   • Before deleting a category, you’ll receive a warning about any templates at risk of deletion. It’s advisable to move these templates to a different category to prevent loss.
